Maine Industrial Tire manufactures and globally distributes solid tire products for conventional fork lift, construction and specialty market applications. Maine Industrial Tire has Office, Manufacturing and/or Distribution locations in Wakefield, MA, Gorham, ME, Red Lion, PA, Romeoville, IL, Houston, TX, Santa Fe Springs, CA, Brampton, ON, and Xingtai, PRC.

Maine Industrial Tire employs over seven-hundred employees in its' global footprint and offers its valued customers strong product lines in the MaineTire, MITL, ITL and Brawler brands.

Medical Plans
Our medical plans include:

  • Coverage for certain preventive care services, such as annual physicals and well baby care, generally at little cost to the employee.
  • Coverage for doctor visits, surgery and hospital care.
  • Vision coverage for routine eye examinations, glasses and contacts.
  • Prescription drug coverage, including retail and mail-order options.
  • Coverage for mental health and substance abuse services.

Dental Plan
Maine Industrial Tire offers a comprehensive dental package to help employees and their families pay for dental care and orthodontia services.

Life Insurance and Accidental and Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance
To protect employees and their families in the event of death or serious injury, Maine Industrial Tire provides Basic Group Life and Basic AD&D Insurance at no cost to the employee. Employees also have the option to purchase additional Term Life Insurance should they need the extra coverage.

Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance
Maine Industrial Tire provides basic Short-Term and Long-Term Disability insurance at no cost to our employees.

Retirement Benefits
Maine Industrial Tire helps employees plan for their future by offering a 401k Retirement Plan supplement Social Security benefits and personal savings. Certain plan entitlements are subject to various vesting schedules. Additionally, as employees contribute to the plan, Maine Industrial Tire matches a certain percentage of employees' contributions each pay period to help grow their savings. Employees are 100% vested in their own contributions and company contributions at all times. Our 401k plan offers a variety of investment options, which include lifecycle funds, index funds and actively managed funds.

Paid Time Off
Maine Industrial Tire employees must wait three months of active employment before they accrue Paid Time Off.  Paid Time Off is pro-rated based on date of hire for the first year, only.  Employees accrue Paid Time Off on the first of the month, and have an annual maximum hours accrued based on an accrual schedule set by the company.
 
Holidays

For most employees, Maine Industrial Tire provides paid time off for 9 standard holidays. Holiday schedules may vary according to observance of holidays by the US government or our international locations.

Each compensation package is appropriate to the national or local market. We try to provide the flexibility to meet most location-specific business needs and employees' professional and personal needs. An international -hired employee is paid as a local resident of the country in which he or she works (regardless of citizenship or nationality). A locally-hired employee typically is paid in local currency and eligible for local pay programs and applicable benefits that are usually quite different from country to country, but competitive within the local market.
